48 photos by Antonio Beato, collected in the Touring Club archive, were in need of restoration.
The photos have a high historical and cultural value both for the photographic technique and the materials used, and because they are the testimony of the first archaeological-cultural journeys in Egypt of the Pharaohs.
Mazzini Lab supported the stakeholders in the planning and implementation of the entire project, also telling the stages: restoration, digitalization, enhancement and exposure.
Goals achieved
- Restoration of archival assets and extensive awareness of the importance of the enhancement and protection of archives.
- Increased brand awareness of SOS Archives and its large-scale mission thanks to the partnership with the Italian Touring Club and the creation of two exhibitions-events at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan and the Accademia D’Egitto in Rome.
